The people behind AmazingMoments
We're a small team in Granville, Sydney, that has been building Australian journeys since 2016 — first for friends, then for friends of friends, and now for thousands of travellers who keep coming back. This page is the honest version of who we are, what we've shipped and why we still love Mondays.
From a kitchen table to 4,800 travellers
AmazingMoments started as a favour for friends — one well-planned weekend that turned into a waiting list. Ten years later we're still small on purpose, still based on Woodville Rd, and still writing every route ourselves.
First trip: twelve friends, one van and the South Coast. Word of mouth did the rest.
Casino hotel weekends launch — our most rebooked format to this day.
Traveller number 2,000 boards a plane to Cairns. The office gets a second kettle.
Named best boutique travel agency in Western Sydney by a local tourism panel.
38 destinations, five signature trips, one very well-used coffee machine.
Three rules we don't break
Go there first
We don't sell a stay we haven't slept in or a road we haven't driven. If we can't vouch for it, it's not in the route pack.
Honest money
Itemised quotes, two price points, zero hidden fees. If something isn't worth your money, we say so — even when it costs us the sale.
People over volume
Small groups, named designers, real phone calls. We'd rather plan forty great trips a year than four hundred forgettable ones.
The people who answer your calls
Combined 46 years on the road.

Sarah Mitchell
Founder & Managing Director
Started it all in 2016. Still personally tests every new route — ask her about the Red Centre in July.

James Okafor
Head of Journeys
Walks every trail before the groups do. If a lookout isn't worth the climb, it doesn't make the plan.

Emma Caldwell
Casino & Events Manager
Runs our casino hotel weekends and event nights — the reason our tables are always the good ones.

Liam Turner
Travel Designer
The voice on the phone at 7 am when a flight moves. Calm is his superpower.
Projects we're proud to sign
2024Outback Stars expedition
A 12-day Red Centre journey for 40 travellers across four departures — zero missed connections, one very happy astronomer.
2023Reef & Rainforest family program
Our most requested family route — reef pontoons, boardwalks and cabins that actually sleep four.
2025High Roller Weekends series
Fourteen casino hotel weekends in one year, each paired with shows, dinners and non-gaming plans for the whole group.
2024Taste of Tasmania food trail
A six-day food trail from Hobart to the east coast — now a fixed departure that sells out every season.
Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer
Cliché? Maybe. But after ten years of watching people walk back into the office taller than they left it, we believe it. Our job is simple: remove every obstacle between you and the moment you'll talk about for years.
