Small files, simple job
A cookie is a tiny text file (a few kilobytes at most) that a site stores in your browser. It can remember things like your preferences or that you've already dismissed a notice. Cookies can't read your files, install software or see other tabs — they only hold what the site itself put there.
Two kinds, both boring
We keep it deliberately minimal — you can run the whole site on essentials alone.
Essential
Remember your cookie-banner choice and keep enquiry forms working. Without these the site can't function properly — that's why they're always on.
Analytics (optional)
Anonymous page statistics that tell us which trips and guides people actually read. Only loaded if you accept all cookies.
You're in control
- The banner on our homepage lets you accept all cookies or keep only the essential ones
- Changed your mind? Clear site data in your browser and the banner returns
- Every modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) lets you block or delete cookies in settings
- Blocking everything won't break the site — you'll just see the banner again on your next visit
Who else sets files
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and the map on the contacts page comes from Google Maps. Those services may set their own cookies under their own policies when you interact with them. We don't use advertising trackers or social pixels — the site stays light on purpose.
If the cookie list changes
New tools sometimes need new cookies. When that happens we update this page, refresh the date, and — if a change is significant — mention it in our email newsletter. Your saved choice stays valid unless we add a category that legally requires a fresh ask.
